I was relieved to get away at the end.

For context, about Lewis with one incident yesterday. During the second half you can see him turn round to South Stand beckoning them on. This followed a bottle being thrown towards the pitch from the South Stand (West side). Thankfully it didn't hit anyone. We were all quick to justify limiting Rovers ticket allocation and the segregation, but sadly shows we still have in the odd idiot within our own fan base. Was that the one where Lewis started playing a mock violin towards South stand? It certainly riled a few people around me that one. I saw the bottle flying through the air (I sit in S5). It came from somewhere towards the back of South stand and landed somewhere in the first few front rows, so someone probably got a little drenching. It was probably due to it being derby day, and to the way the game was unfolding, but there did seem to be more than the usual quota of over-excited people near me yesterday. Around 15 minutes into the second half, three young guys (in their early twenties I would say) suddenly came and sat in our row, no idea where they had been for the first-half. Safe to say they were 'well-oiled' with one of them 'seven sheets to the wind'. They made a lot of noise (and shouted into their phones a good deal) for around fifteen minutes before thankfully disappearing who knows where! Although I'm fairly sure they weren't the ones throwing the bottle, don't think they were capable to taking aim! Derby day definitely brings out the worse in some elements of our fan base. Some seem to crawl out for this one game only each year. Thankfully nothing major seemed to erupt yesterday.

The bottle was thrown onto the track around the pitch (no one was hit) Lewis was walking towards the South Stand and then turned a gestured with the mock violin. Love the fact our fans are backing the team all the way, but don?t want to have anyone there throwing bottles. I saw the bottle flying through the air (I sit in S5). Hull will overtake rovers in a couple of years. You saw yesterday how massive we are. 16-17k fans and owners worth half a billion. We dwarf you in terms of potential and the owners are here for the club, not investment land.
You've shouted us down at every opportunity from the early 2000s saying we'd never reach the dizzy heights of SL, then we'd be relegated in our first season, then we was going bust, then owning our own ground was a pipedream then we'd never get crowds over 10k crowds, we'd never get to another final, what's the latest? We'll never win a trophy? I'm enjoying a ride I've never been on before, you may overtake us you may not, I don't particularly care. Rovers are building a home with every amenity and facility we need all under one roof, we are selling 11,200 tickets every week and have a board that care and a team playing for the badge and each other every week. Rovers aren't going anywhere, and I hope Hull build a team to be up there challenging with us. Our rag tag team, 6 months into the new regime already is

The council handing you the land is a big factor in the investors coming on board though, in an alternative plot line Hudgell could still be trying to sell Rovers or have given up losing money by now. But likewise the council getting a KCOM windfall and building the MKM was a stroke of luck for us (unlilkely that Hetherington and co wouldent haven bought us without it) Money makes the world go round and both clubs are benefiting at present. Having sat through 90s games when both clubs could barely afford to stock the portakabin retail store I will enjoy the good times we are having.
