Burgess doesn't ever seem to have a plan B, his plan B seems to be hoping plan A works.
And some of his comments seem to show he has the rose tinted glasses on when watching our games.
And yeah his recruitment has been poor, We've signed Byrne for next yeah, maybe as a replacement for Vaughan......but he isn't as good as Vaughan. So we're downgrading again. Leigh have managed to sign Joe Ofahengaue and Hull KR have pulled off signing Tom Amone. So unless we have 2 established big hard hitting aggressive props coming in next year we are weaker.
Sneyd has been consistantly great for years, as soon as he comes here he's gone quiet and Missed 4 conversions last week, like what the feck, when does he miss conversions like that....he doesn't. What is it with this club????
Dan Russell is not super league level, can't blame him at all for not being super league level. He was offered a contract and is playing at his best. That's on Burgess nobody else.
The lack of consistancy and big drop off in effort just screams of Burgess being one of the lads, and not been stern enough and demanding the best each week.
My god i'd love shaun Wane to come here and not take S#!t from anyone and put the fear of god in to the players.
All fair points.
We had the chance of Wane for 2022. Club went Powell. The rest is history.
I wouldn't want Wane. He's too attached to Wigan I feel. Loving sick of seeing him gladhanding with Peet week in, week out. Don't think you'd see a national manager in any other sport showing such partiality and their bosses letting them get away with it. Good old RL.
